I am the Managing Director of African Sewing Machine Co.
I started working with my father since the young age of 7 whenever schools broke for vacation.I matriculated in a Technical School and went on to the
South African Airforce to do my 2-years complulsory National Service, after which I joined my father fulltime in February1985 and gained 15 years experience before his passing in 1999.I still manage to keep the Comapany on an even keel the way it has been run for the last 80 years.
I enjoy the outdoors getting into the mountains and nature, away from the hussle and bussle of the City life.
Gyming out with a trainer and dancing are my favourite past times.Hobby is getting down on my knees and doing gardening and growning only flowers all year round.
I think I figured it out.
I start with about a 4-6" chain.
I start sewing with the edge under the needle.
No cutter,(the material is precut and fixed to a freely rotating platform)
When it comes around to the end I make sure I pull the…
Machine= MG-3DW-4 No. 5 needle, T-70 thread. What is the most attractive way to lock-in the start and finish stitching when sewing circular objects? Thanks.DougSee More
