Does anyone have a Merrow Cutter Grinder for sale. It would help me complete my collection.
I have several models of machines (7 at the moment) and the grinder would make a nice addition. It's condition is not an issue but working would be nice.

I'll take a look.
Permalink Reply by David Davies on May 22, 2011 at 7:43pm I'm a little like you...I have three Merrow machines - MG-3U, 22FJ, 3DW. Not really sure why. But I love how well they are made. I bought them all off of ebay and had each and every little part disassembled on each after I bought them to see how they worked and to clean them up.
Just today I finished merrowing 50 nametags for a squadron out at the air force base near me (I'm retired USAF) and it's taken me many, many moons to figure out how to successfully merrow an edge. I'm OK now but will need to do many more nametags to be as good as Mardon.
Permalink Reply by Mike Rieker on May 23, 2011 at 12:32am I pretty much gave up trying to do edges without the "3U" machine. I buy pre Merrowed patches and stick to standard sizes. I sell a holder for the 3 common sizes. ( www.patchthing.com ).
I do love the way the machines run. I am downsizing and am down to a single 70 series machine I use for some general sewing and to edge a GPS sun shade I make and sell. These machines can't be beat for what they do.
Who is Mardon?
